As part of our building history series, today we take a look at The Hassett House in Northfield, Vermont:
The Hassett House, an early Methodist Parsonage, located at 65 South Main Street was moved to this location and restored as Norwich University faculty housing in December 1987. The house was acquired by David and Mary Ann (Burke) Hassett in 1859. Their son William, who served as secretary to presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, was born in this house.
