As part of our weekly building history series, today we take a look at the Free Will Baptist Church in Pittsfield, New Hampshire:
The first church on this site was built in 1838 after the demise of the original church on Catamount Mountain. The church was enlarged in 1852. In 1886 it was entirely redesigned by renowned architect William Butterfield in the present Queen Anne style at the urging of Rev. E. P. Moulton. Its members have the distinction of being the second oldest organization of their sect in this country.
