Tuttle Mansion in Pittsfield, New Hampshire

Today we take a look at the Tuttle Mansion in Pittsfield, New Hamshire:

“On this site David Fogg built a small home about 1804.  Occupied and enlarged by woolen mill owner John Carroll in 1817, it later became the W. Bryant Drake Hotel & Tavern.  In 1865 the building and stable, which contained a wagon full of shoes worth over $2,000, burned.  In 1875 businessman Hiram A. Tuttle, later Governor of N.H., built this magnificent home on the vacant lot.”
